Exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) are very useful when tuning. They can quickly alert you to dangerous air/fuel ratios before a catastrophe occurs. MegaSquirt EMS has the ability to log and display EGT values, but not without extra hardware.
SymTech Labs EGT Interface Modules are directly compatible with MS1 or MS2 and MS1/Extra or MS2/Extra firmware. The can read from 0 - 1832 degrees Fahrenheit (0 - 1000 degrees Celsius).
Installation is simple! Rather than sending your unit away to have a circuit installed, you can add the EGT logging feature yourself with five easy connections: two to the EGT probe, one for +12V power, one to ground, and one to a spare I/O pin on the MegaSquirt processor. These modules include an adhesive foam backing for mounting directly inside your MegaSquirt unit.
An EGT probe is not included with this interface module. Any K-type thermocouple (chromel/alumel pair) probe is compatible.
